Moderation policy

• Length: minimum 20, maximum 3,000 characters.
• Link count: up to 3 external URLs per attempt.
• Blocked patterns: common spam keywords (gambling, illegal services, crypto airdrops, etc.) are blocked at the server.

Failed submissions return a 400 with a clear message; no record is persisted.

A small team (initially: the maintainers) reviews high-signal attempts and may grant a *curator pick* badge. Criteria:

• genuine engagement with the problem (small-case experiments, partial reductions, novel framings),
• precise statements; KaTeX renders cleanly; assumptions named,
• links and references are *additive* — not a wall of URLs in place of content.

Curator picks bubble to the top of the per-problem list and feed the *Best attempt of the week* daily card.

Submissions may be removed (with notification when possible) for:

• verifiable spam, phishing, or illegal content,
• harassment, doxxing, or targeted attacks against another user,
• plagiarism (copy-paste from textbooks/Wikipedia without attribution),
• duplicate submissions by the same user on the same problem.

Authors may always delete their own attempts.

• Reporting: any visitor with a browser identifier can report an attempt once. Three distinct reports automatically hide it pending review.
• Editing: attempts are immutable once submitted. To revise, delete and resubmit.
• Threaded replies: attempts are flat — no nested replies. Quote in your own attempt instead.

• Auto-filter: immediate (server-side).
• Curator review: public notebooks and visible attempts enter a seven-day review SLA. A review may end without a curator pick.
• Auto-hidden review: an operator records restore or keep-hidden within 24 hours of automatic hiding.
• Removal appeals: within 30 days; otherwise the decision stands.
