Riemann — One Sentence in a Six-Page Manuscript
Working from Göttingen, Riemann published “On the Number of Primes Less Than a Given Magnitude” in the Berlin Academy proceedings. The map pin marks his research base; Berlin was the place of publication. In its six-page manuscript he connected zeta zeros to prime distribution and wrote that the claim placing every nontrivial zero at real part one-half still needed a rigorous proof.
